A welcoming primary school in Southville is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide focused 1:1 support.

This role is ideal for someone with strong SEN experience who is passionate about helping pupils access learning in a supportive, structured environment.

Provide consistent 1:1 support for a pupil with additional learning needs.

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised strategies.

Encourage engagement, confidence and emotional regulation.

Support classroom routines, transitions and small‑group work.

• Previous SEN experience is essential.
• Calm, patient and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and rapport‑building skills.
• Level 2/3 TA qualification advantageous.
• Driving licence beneficial.
• SEN training highly valued, including:
  Understanding Autism, ADHD Awareness, Team Teach / De‑escalation Training, Trauma‑Informed Practice.
• BSL or communication‑based training.
• Makaton (highly desirable for supporting communication needs).
