Protocol Education are looking for enthusiastic, compassionate students and graduates to support pupils across mainstream and SEN schools in Bristol.
If you’re studying Psychology, Social Sciences, Education, Sports, or you simply have a genuine passion for supporting children, you already have the foundations we’re looking for.
Whether you’re exploring teaching, educational psychology, pastoral care or youth work, this is hands‑on experience that truly counts.
Your Role:
Providing 1:1 emotional and wellbeing support
Supporting children during moments of overwhelm or challenge
Encouraging positive routines and healthy coping strategies
Working closely with teachers and pastoral teams
Helping pupils feel safe, confident and ready to learn
A recent graduate or someone taking their first step into education
An interest in child development, behaviour or wellbeing
A patient, resilient and empathetic approach
Strong communication skills and natural rapport‑building ability
Confidence supporting children who need reassurance and guidance
A calm, consistent presence in the classroom

£89‑£94 per day, paid weekly via PAYE
£250 referral bonus when you recommend an ECT

Passport or proof of right to work in the UK
Two proofs of address, such as a driving licence or utility bill
CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps explained
Two years of references, including voluntary, childcare or youth work where relevant
Overseas Police Check if you’ve lived abroad for three months or more in the last five years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
