SEN Teaching Assistant. Education & Training

JOB TITLE - SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary) ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Prospero Teaching is seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Primary School in Bristol
. The school has a strong inclusion ethos and offers a nurturing environment where staff work collaboratively to support children with a wide range of additional needs.

With excellent leadership and a focus on staff development, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced TA looking to make a meaningful impact in an SEN-focused role. The position is long‑term, with potential to extend or become permanent for the right candidate.

• Location: Bristol
• Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
• Type: Full-Time (Monday - Friday)
• Pay Rate: £90 - £110 per day
• Hours: 8:20am - 3:30pm

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

• Experience working in a UK school or education setting - mandatory
• Experience or strong interest in supporting pupils with SEN
  , including Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language Needs, and SEMH
• Ability to provide calm, patient and structured one-to-one or group SEN support
• Understanding of positive behaviour strategies and child‑centred support plans
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding training (Prospero can provide training if needed)
• Excellent communication skills and a caring, supportive approach
• Experience with personal care is beneficial but not essential

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
• Be able to provide 24 months of employment references
  , including at least one child-related reference
• Have strong written and spoken English
