JOB TITLE - SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary) ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Prospero Teaching is seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Primary School in Bristol
. The school has a strong inclusion ethos and offers a nurturing environment where staff work collaboratively to support children with a wide range of additional needs.
With excellent leadership and a focus on staff development, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced TA looking to make a meaningful impact in an SEN-focused role. The position is long‑term, with potential to extend or become permanent for the right candidate.
CONTRACT / POSITION DETAILS- Location: Bristol
- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
- Type: Full-Time (Monday - Friday)
- Pay Rate: £90 - £110 per day
- Hours: 8:20am - 3:30pm
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- Experience working in a UK school or education setting - mandatory
- Experience or strong interest in supporting pupils with SEN
, including Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language Needs, and SEMH - Ability to provide calm, patient and structured one-to-one or group SEN support
- Understanding of positive behaviour strategies and child‑centred support plans
- Up‑to‑date safeguarding training (Prospero can provide training if needed)
- Excellent communication skills and a caring, supportive approach
- Experience with personal care is beneficial but not essential
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
- Be able to provide 24 months of employment references
, including at least one child-related reference - Have strong written and spoken English
