**** Salary: MNSP Grade 5 and scale point range 5 - 7, £14.59 - £16.08 per hour, £21,238 - £23,411 (FTE £28,142 - £31,022)
** Knowle DGE Academy is looking for a dedicated and empathetic Learning Facilitator to join our team to work with our primary model classes. Based in the heart of the Knowle community, our academy is more than just a school; it is a specialist environment where we provide a "Discovery, Guidance, and Enjoyment" (DGE) approach to education.
As a Primary SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be a vital anchor for pupils. You will work within one of our specialist Primary model department, supporting pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health), SLCN (Speech, Language, and Communication), and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder).

** The Role
** Your primary goal is to support pupils' access to learning through 1:1 interventions and small group work. You will:
* Implement Specialist Programmes:
Deliver tailored learning activities across Literacy, Numeracy, and social skills.
* Provide Pastoral Care:
Attend to pupils' personal needs, including social, health, and physical welfare, ensuring they feel safe and supported.
* Collaborate on Planning:
Work alongside Class Teachers to evaluate lessons and adjust resources to meet the specific needs of each child’s EHCP or Profile.
* Be a Role Model:
Establish constructive relationships that promote self-esteem, independence, and positive behaviour.
** About You
** We are looking for someone who is resilient, patient, and possesses a genuine "can-do" attitude.
** Essential Requirements:
**
* Experience:
Previous experience working with young people (specifically KS1/KS2 is highly desirable).
* Skills:
Strong literacy and numeracy skills, a basic understanding of child development, and the ability to use ICT to support learning.
* Character: A friendly, courteous manner and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
** Desirable:
*** NVQ Level 3 or HLTA status.
* Specific training in ASD, Dyslexia, or Sign Language.
* A clean driving licence (useful for school trips and community activities).There are many advantages to working for us.
