Job Description & How to Apply Below

We’re looking for a skilled Maths Teacher to join a secondary school in North Bristol with high expectations, a clear behaviour policy, and a strong focus on academic rigour.

The maths curriculum is carefully sequenced and knowledge-rich, designed to build fluency, reasoning and problem-solving over time. Students are taught to think mathematically, not just memorise methods. You’ll be part of a department that values clarity, consistency and strong subject knowledge.

This role is full time, though part time can be considered for the right candidate.

What you’ll be doing
  • Planning and delivering well-structured lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Marking and assessing in line with departmental policy
  • Using assessment to identify gaps and adapt teaching
  • Contributing to a calm, focused classroom environment
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to refine curriculum and resources
What we’re looking for
  • QTS preferred
  • Experience planning and marking within a secondary setting
  • Secure subject knowledge across the maths curriculum
  • High expectations for behaviour and achievement
  • A straightforward, no-nonsense approach to teaching

This is a good fit for a teacher who values structure, clear systems and a department that takes curriculum seriously.

If you’d like to find out more, get in touch and we’ll talk it through.
