Ideally, you’ll have some experience as a TA already, but we know brilliant support skills come from all sorts of backgrounds. Care work, social work, youth groups, mentoring, residential support… if you’ve been there for others before, those skills transfer beautifully into school life. What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting students across the day, from morning routines to classroom activities
- Working with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams to keep everything running smoothly
- Helping students feel safe, included and ready to learn
- Guiding pupils who might need a bit of extra encouragement or structure
- Being that calm, reassuring adult who makes school feel manageable
- Previous TA experience is great, though not essential
- Backgrounds in care, social work, youth work or similar are highly valued
- A DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- Someone who brings empathy, patience and a sense of humour when it counts
- Reliability, teamwork and a genuine interest in helping young people thrive
- Monday to Friday, usually 8.30 to 15.30
- Pay from £89 per day, weekly through PAYE

- Two proofs of address, such as a driving licence, utility bill, council tax bill or P45/P60
- CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with any gaps explained
- Two years of references, including childcare where applicable
- OSPC if you’ve lived overseas for three months or more in the last five years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
