Bristol Early Years is looking for a Bristol Standard Project Manager, on a fixed term contract over 2 years, beginning in April 2026. The role will be based at Southmead Children's Centre, as well as working off site with Early Years Providers across the city.
This exciting new role will help shape our existing Bristol Standard (a quality improvement tool) into a more modern means of enabling all providers to reflect on their practices. The role is 2 days per week on an all year round basis, however we are happy to discuss a flexible approach (to be discussed at interview).
We are looking for someone with proven track record of delivering high quality programmes, coupled with a passion for Early Years who can advocate this programme to over 500+ providers, from Childminders to Multi-Academy Trusts. You will need to have working knowledge of The Bristol Standard and a current understanding of the local and national policies surrounding Early Years (e.g. The EYFS curriculum, Ofsted etc.).
Please note that this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
Responsibilities- Shape and develop the Bristol Standard into a modern quality improvement tool that enables providers to reflect on their practices.
- Engage and advocate the programme to a wide range of providers across the city (from Childminders to Multi-Academy Trusts).
- Work with Southmead Children s Centre and off-site partners to deliver the programme.
- Proven track record of delivering high quality programmes in Early Years or related field.
- Passion for Early Years and ability to advocate the programme to over 500 providers.
- Working knowledge of The Bristol Standard and current local and national Early Years policies (e.g., The EYFS curriculum, Ofsted).
- Eligible to undergo Enhanced DBS check.
2 days per week on an all-year-round basis, fixed term contract over 2 years. Hybrid working arrangements may be available.

Interviews are expected to include a short technical test (30 mins) and a panel of verbal questions (45 mins). Some applicants may be shortlisted against desirable criteria as well.
