We work closely with welcoming primary schools across Bristol who are looking for fully qualified Reception and EYFS teachers to lead the classroom with confidence, consistency, and care.
These schools need teachers who can step in, take ownership of learning, and provide strong, reassuring leadership for young learners. You’ll be trusted to set the tone, maintain routines, and deliver high-quality teaching that keeps children settled, curious, and progressing.
You’ll be leading learning in Early Years settings, delivering engaging lessons rooted in the EYFS framework. From early phonics and number sense to social development and classroom culture, your role is central to shaping children’s first experiences of school, while keeping the joy and creativity of Early Years firmly alive.

Clear handovers and structured days, especially important in EYFS and KS1
Opportunities to teach across Reception, nursery classes, and Year 1 or 2
Respect for your professional judgement and classroom leadership
Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Have recent UK teaching experience in EYFS or KS1
Are confident leading a class and setting clear expectations
Build strong relationships quickly with pupils and staff
Deliver high-quality teaching in phonics, early maths, and play-based learning
Want flexibility without stepping away from your identity as a teacher
Passport
2 proofs of address, for example driving licence, utility bill, council tax, P45 or P60
CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with any gaps explained
2 years of references, including childcare if applicable
OSPC if you have lived overseas for 3 months or more in the last 5 years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
