Zen Educate is looking for a compassionate, dedicated, and resilient EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Bristol.
We are seeking a committed individual for a full-time role starting as soon as possible to support young learners (ages 3-5) with complex needs. This role involves essential personal care.
The Role:
Nurturing Early Years Development
You will be joining a highly supportive school environment dedicated to serving pupils with a range of severe and profound learning difficulties. Your primary focus will be on our youngest learners, helping to provide them with the best possible start to their education.
This is a highly hands-on and fulfilling role, where you will be instrumental in:
* Supporting EYFS Curriculum:
Helping pupils engage in play-based and sensory learning activities designed for their developmental level.
* Providing Personal Care:
Assisting pupils with essential needs, including toileting, nappy changing, feeding/mealtime support, and assistance with mobility.
* Communication Support:
Aiding with communication methods like PECS and Makaton to help pupils express their needs and choices.
* Team
Collaboration:
Working closely with the class teacher, therapists, and specialist staff to implement individualized support plans.
What We're Looking For
We are interested in candidates who are ready to offer patient and sensitive care:
* Experience:
Prior experience working with young children (ages 3-5) and/or with individuals who have complex special educational needs is highly valued.
* Personal Care:
Must be comfortable and willing to undertake all aspects of personal care (nappy changing, feeding, etc.).
* Attitude: A resilient, patient, and empathetic attitude, essential for managing complex needs.
* Commitment:
Available to start a full-time role as soon as possible.
