We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and reflective full-time EYFS Teacher to join our friendly school community on a maternity cover basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about giving our youngest learners the very best start to their school journey.

As an EYFS teacher at our academy, you will play a pivotal role in creating a warm, stimulating and ambitious learning environment where every child feels valued and supported. You will have the opportunity to design and deliver high-quality, play-based learning experiences that spark curiosity, build early foundations in communication, language and numeracy, and nurture the personal, social and emotional development of our pupils.

This role will allow you to use your talents to champion the success and life chances of all children in our trust. Our commitment to high expectations, a joy-filled contemporary curriculum and excellent teaching enables us to create rich opportunities for the lifelong success of our pupils as they grow into confident, independent young learners.

About You
  • A qualified teacher (or hold an equivalent, recognised teaching qualification).
  • Passionate about early childhood development and able to deliver a high-quality EYFS curriculum rooted in the principles of play, exploration, and active learning.
  • Skilled in assessing, observing and responding to children's developmental needs, ensuring that all learners, including those from key identified groups such as pupil premium, looked after children, SEND and high-attaining pupils, are effectively supported and challenged.
  • A nurturing practitioner who can build secure relationships with children, helping them feel confident, happy and safe within the learning environment.
  • A strong communicator who can work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external professionals, embracing change and contributing positively to the wider school community.
  • Someone who values both the classroom and the wider school experience, ensuring children benefit from enriching opportunities beyond daily lessons, including outdoor learning, creative experiences and purposeful play.
  • Reflective, proactive and eager to further develop your expert practice while supporting the growth and development of others within the team.
  • Highly competent in all elements of the Teachers Standards, with a track record of substantial and sustained impact in your teaching practice.

Applicants are advised to refer to the full requirements of the role in the attached job description and person specification, prior to submitting an application.
