Actual Annual Salary £8,104 - £8,834 Based on hours and weeks worked. Full Time Equivalent Salary £25,941 - £28,275 (CLF Grade
B) Based on full time hours, all year round.

Hours:
13.5 hours per week – Part Time, Term Time Only plus Inset days
Working Pattern:
Wednesday to Friday, 8:30am–1:00pm

Within Key Stage 2, this role focuses on supporting older learners as they develop greater independence, confidence, and academic resilience. The role involves supporting students’ educational, social, and emotional development through effective strategies that enable them to engage with the curriculum, access learning, and make strong progress. Responsibilities include delivering planned learning activities, adjusting approaches based on student responses, supporting behaviour positively, and helping students to work towards their targets.
The role contributes to measurable improvements in attainment and well‑being, with a strong emphasis on communication, building effective relationships, recording student progress, and working collaboratively with teachers and colleagues. It supports the creation of an inclusive and engaging learning environment where every KS2 student is encouraged to achieve their full potential.

- Have experience of, or willingness to embrace working in a single form entry school is essential.
- Have an understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities and how a teaching assistant supports students in their learning.
- Be able to engage students and manage behaviour on a one to one or small group basis.
- Be committed to undertake relevant qualifications, e.g. Relevant nvq level 2/ 3 in supporting teaching and learning or equivalent, first aid qualification, to ensure ongoing professional development.

- Have strong interpersonal skills, in particular with the ability to demonstrate empathy and active listening.
- Have good planning and organisational skills, specifically with regard to learning activities support materials.
