St Stephen’s Junior School is looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated SENDCO to join our friendly and supportive team in order to lead the provision for special educational needs across the school.

The role is a non-class based permanent post, and the start date would be 20th April (start of Term
5).. The successful candidate would work 3 days per week which can be flexible.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing SEN and wider inclusive provision across the school, including supporting planning and implementation of interventions and strategies for SEN pupils, liaising with outside agencies, working with parents and carers, supporting teachers and monitoring day-to-day operations with regards to the SEN policy and provision. The post holder will also work alongside the Mosaic Partnership Trust Inclusion Lead and SENDCOs from other schools within the Trust and contribute to academy wide SEN policy and provision.

We are looking for someone who;

Has the skills, experience, knowledge and understanding needed to work as a Special Education Needs Coordinator (SENDCO)
Has high expectations and a desire to do a great jobIs passionate about achieving the very best for all pupils, supporting the highest standards of teaching, learning and behaviour

Is committed to working with parents as partners in ensuring effective provision for SEN learners

Has experience of training staff in impactful SEN strategies including whole class strategies and more bespoke strategies for those at the higher tiers of need

The ability to develop longer term strategic plans, deliver and evaluate them for impact
