Position: Teaching Assistant- ASD support

SEN Teaching Assistant – Autism Support

Location: South Bristol
Pay: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour

Protocol Education are searching for a caring SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a KS2 pupil with autism in South Bristol. This is a rewarding role for someone who is patient, calm, and passionate about helping children access learning in a way that works for them.

You’ll support the pupil with classroom routines, social interaction, and learning tasks—adapting activities to their needs and working closely with the class teacher and SENCO. Your consistency will help create a safe space where the child can build confidence, develop skills, and feel part of the class.

  • Have experience supporting children with SEN (in schools, care, or youth work)
  • Can remain calm and positive under pressure
  • Communicate clearly and show empathy

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
