Zen Educate is seeking a dedicated and passionate Key Stage 1 (KS1) Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join a highly supportive academy in Bristol.

This is a full-time position with an immediate start available, focusing on providing an exceptional and tailored curriculum for young learners with diverse needs.

You will be working within a specialist setting that provides education for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex needs. As the KS1 SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, structured, and engaging classroom environment where every child can achieve their potential.

• Delivering a tailored curriculum designed to meet the specific learning and developmental needs of pupils aged 5-7.
• Planning and assessing pupil progress, utilizing a range of communication strategies and structured teaching methods.
• Managing the classroom effectively, ensuring a positive and predictable atmosphere for pupils with ASD and anxiety.
• Working closely with Teaching Assistants and therapy teams to implement holistic support plans.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK is essential.
• Experience teaching in an SEN school or with pupils with ASD is highly desirable, though not essential. We will consider talented primary teachers with a passion for special education.
• Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and its adaptation for pupils with complex needs.
• A patient, resilient, and reflective practitioner with excellent communication skills.
• Available to start full-time as soon as possible (ASAP).
