Locum Consultant in Emergency General Surgery

Overview

This post is designed to support the delivery of the specialist benign UGI and Emergency General Surgery service. It is expected that the successful appointee will have a particular interest in biliary.

• The post-holder will develop and contribute to continuing education, professional development, audit and research within the Division and Trust.
• Contribute to the delivery of the specialist benign UGI and Emergency General Surgery service with a focus on biliary.
• Participate in managing the welfare considerations of children, young people and vulnerable adults as part of safeguarding commitments.
• Engage in activities to improve patient care and service delivery in line with the Trust values.

• Applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register or equivalent, or within 6 months of attaining Specialist Registration at the time of interview.
• Applications from candidates who, for personal reasons, are unable to work full-time, will be eligible to be considered for this post.
• To comply with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016, all applicants must be able to speak fluent English to an appropriate standard which will be assessed at interview.
