BBC Gardeners’ World is one of the UK’s best loved and most respected gardening programme on TV. The programme attracts over 2 million viewers a week, and is coming up to its 57th year.## Horticultural Assistant Producer Working closely with the Series Producer, Planning Producer and VT Directors, the candidate will provide support to the Gardeners’ World editorial team. Normal office hours will generally apply, but a flexible approach is required, subject to the BBC’s policies and guidelines.

The ideal candidate is horticulturally trained with a relevant qualifications and has at least 3 years experience of working in TV as a Horticultural Researcher. A passion for horticulture is key, with an excellent working knowledge of plants and all aspects of the gardening calendar. The role requires a highly organised individual, capable of continuously generating new ideas for a weekly programme.
* Fixed Term – Full Time
* Package band C
* Various full-time contracts, FTC/Attachment and Freelance, February – October 2024

BBC Studios Production, Bristol, BS1 6BX

* Hybrid Working:
Bristol office base, location and remote.
* Standard Studios Production contract and potentially can involve up to 55 hours per week

The role requires a highly organised individual, capable of continuously generating new ideas for a weekly programme and proven ability of managing successful relationships with high profile talent.
