I’m recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a respected commercial & industrial contractor in their Bristol office. This company delivers a variety of projects from design-and-build construction through to fit-out and refurbishment across regulated sectors and mainstream commercial builds.
Role Overview
As a Quantity Surveyor you will support commercial performance across ongoing and upcoming projects, working closely with project delivery teams to ensure cost-effective outcomes, robust contract administration and strong commercial control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead commercial management of assigned projects from pre-contract through to final account
* Prepare and issue tender documentation, subcontract enquiries and pricing schedules
* Value work-in-progress, agree interim valuations & manage change control
* Cost reporting, forecasting and cashflow management
* Subcontractor procurement and commercial negotiation
* Identify and manage project commercial risks
* Support contractual interpretation and claims/variations management
* Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation
Skills & Experience We’re Looking For
* Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in construction/fit-out environments
* Strong understanding of NEC3/NEC4 and JCT contract suites
* Excellent commercial awareness, numeracy and negotiation skills
* Ability to manage multiple work-streams and deadlines
* Effective communicator with clients, subcontractors and internal teams
* Relevant surveying/contract management qualification (e.g., RICS/Assoc
RICS or built-environment degree)
* Full UK driving licence
