An experienced Quantity Surveyor is required to take responsibility for the commercial management of hospitality fit‑out and refurbishment projects across the UK. The role involves full cost control from tender stage through to final account, working closely with delivery teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure projects are delivered profitably, on programme, and to a high standard.
This position is well suited to a commercially aware Quantity Surveyor who is comfortable working on fast‑paced refurbishment projects within live environments.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare tenders, cost plans, and commercial submissions.
- Source, review, and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Place orders with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring clarity on scope, cost, and programme.
- Manage project costs, variations, interim valuations, and final accounts.
- Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve best value.
- Support site teams with procurement and cost control on fast‑track refurbishment projects.
- Attend progress and commercial meetings, reporting on cost performance and risks.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company procedures, and health & safety requirements.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within fit‑out, refurbishment, hospitality, or retail sectors.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good understanding of contracts, procurement, and cost reporting.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines and within live operational environments.
- Degree‑qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (RICS accreditation desirable but not essential).
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
