I’m working with a well-established regional contractor that is launching a new Bristol-based business unit to focus exclusively on high-end design & build fit out projects. With strong backing from the wider business and a clear growth strategy in place, they are now looking to appoint an Estimator to support the development and success of this new venture.

This is a rare opportunity to get in early, influence processes, and become a key commercial voice within a design-led environment.

The Role

As Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing competitive, accurate tenders for high-end design & build fit out projects, working closely with pre-construction, design, and delivery teams.

You’ll be involved early in the project lifecycle, helping shape solutions, manage risk, and contribute to winning work in a quality-driven, relationship-focused market.

Key responsibilities include:

* Preparing cost plans and tenders for high-end D&B fit out projects

* Reviewing drawings, specifications, and design information

* Engaging with the supply chain to obtain competitive subcontractor pricing

* Identifying risks, opportunities, and value engineering options

* Supporting bid strategy and tender presentations

* Working closely with design, commercial, and delivery teams

* Contributing to the development of estimating processes for the new business unit

✅ Ideal Candidate Profile

* Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within construction or fit out

* Strong background in design & build and/or high-end fit out projects

* Commercially astute with strong attention to detail

* Comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving environment

* Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset

* Experience with commercial interiors, CAT A / CAT B, or bespoke fit out projects (desirable)
