Location:
Bristol
Salary: £45,000–£65,000 + car allowance + bonus + full package
A major UK house builder is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high‑volume residential developments with a stable, well‑respected business offering long‑term progression.
The Role
You will support the commercial delivery of multi‑unit housing schemes, ensuring strong financial control and efficient cost management throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities include:
* Cost planning and budget management
* Procurement of subcontractors and materials
* Managing valuations, variations and payments
* Forecasting and commercial reporting
* Supporting value engineering and build‑to‑budget strategies
* Ensuring compliance with contractual and commercial requirements
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
* Experience as a QS within the residential house building sector
* Strong commercial and contractual understanding (JCT preferred)
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to manage multiple packages and deadlines
* Essential: COINS experience
