The Role
This regional based role covers the South West and is suitable for post‑graduate quantity surveyors, building surveyors, technical officers, building inspectors, or contracts managers. Candidates with a trade background who have completed a HNC or equivalent in the built environment are also encouraged to apply. As a Contract Lead you will play a key role in the successful delivery of our repairs, maintenance, and capital upgrades.
Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include overseeing building works through our contractor framework, managing the work lifecycle from inception to completion, reviewing SOWs and specifications, requesting contractor quotes, arranging pre‑start meetings, providing solutions to on‑site issues, undertaking post‑inspections, and ensuring compliance with CDM regulations, health and safety, performance, and SLA/KPI goals.
You will also provide technical guidance on refurbishment and maintenance contracts, actively participate in asset‑management meetings, and recommend improvements where required.
Experience with MCIOB and/or MRICS/Assoc
RICS is an advantage.
- Valid driving licence.
- Experience supervising and monitoring works on domestic and commercial properties.
- Proven ability to manage contractors and deliver high‑quality service.
- Experience managing contract performance, including SLAs, KPIs, compliance and budgets.
- Experience managing works programmes and working within CDM Regulations (2015).
We’re looking for someone with a strong contractor‑management and customer‑service background, who is passionate about continuous improvement. Experience overseeing works on domestic and commercial properties is desirable, as is a proven ability to lead effectively. Postgraduates in quantity or building surveying, or technical officers and inspectors, will find this role an excellent opportunity to grow their skills and make a real impact on key projects.
