About the role

As Senior Investment Proposition Manager you will bring your in-depth knowledge of investments, client and distribution needs, regulation, commercials and competition to manage and improve HL's investment propositions across D2C, Workplace and Advice distribution channels. You’ll be ensuring that we're delivering outstanding outcomes for clients, colleagues, partners and HL.

Reporting to our Head of Investment Solutions, this is an exciting opportunity to apply and grow your expertise, playing a key role in driving the vision, strategy, roadmap, and overall success of HL’s key digital products, services, and platforms.

What you’ll be doing
  • Owning and managing HL investment propositions across D2C, Workplace and Advice distribution channels; owning the end-to-end lifecycle of propositions from concept, design and pricing to launch and ongoing improvements.
  • Collaboratively creating and driving the strategy for our investment proposition, aligning with HL's strategy, product vision and channel distribution needs.
  • Managing the governance of HL's investment proposition, working closely with Product Managers, Operations, Trading, Marketing and Investment Research to ensure HL is delivering outstanding client outcomes.
  • Conducting market analysis to identify trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities; translating market opportunities and customer needs into commercially viable offerings.
  • Monitoring proposition performance against commercial targets, identifying underperformance drivers and proposing tactical or strategic improvements.
  • Leading collaboration across Channels, Product, Marketing, Sales, Digital, Risk, Compliance and Operations to ensure propositions meet regulatory standards and operational readiness requirements.
  • Managing relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, aligning external capabilities with internal commercial and client strategies.
  • Contributing regularly to the full suite of governance bodies across HLAM, HLFM and HLAS, representing HLAM.
About you
  • Excellent technical knowledge of investment management products and pricing.
  • Excellent knowledge of the needs of Workplace and/or Advice channels (you will need both, developing expert knowledge of the market as well as internal needs)
  • Commercial mindset, excellent stakeholder management and confident communication skills.
  • Experience delivering commercial targets and operating within budgets.
  • Experience of designing and delivering significant propositional change to improve client experience.
  • Demonstrable experience of using data and research to develop client understanding.
  • Experience of leading large virtual teams of colleagues to achieve success, building a positive and inclusive working environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of working collaboratively to deliver through influencing others to achieve objectives.
  • Expert understanding of regulatory landscape and the Consumer Duty and experience of managing in this environment.
Interview process

The interview process will be 2 stages including a competency-based interview and an assessment task.

Working schedule

We are based in Bristol, BS1 5HL
. This role is a permanent, full time 37.5 hours per week. We offer a hybrid flexible working
