Job Introduction
The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority (MCA) is seeking to appoint a Contract Officer to join the Contract Management team. This role supports contract managers in the day‑to‑day management of contracts, maintains accurate contract records, ensures compliance with regulations, produces performance reports, and provides operational support for contract variations and governance.
Responsibilities- Support Contract Managers with performance monitoring, issue tracking, and supplier engagement.
- Develop and maintain accurate contract records, approvals, and documentation within commercial systems and SharePoint.
- Ensure adherence to Contract Standing Orders, procurement regulations, and internal governance controls.
- Compile routine and ad‑hoc reports on contract performance, spend, risk, and compliance to guarantee audit readiness.
- Provide operational support for contract variations, compensation events, and the preparation of governance papers and dashboards.

The salary for this role is £34,434 – £37,280 full‑time equivalent, pro‑rated for part‑time. This range is used for new external appointments, with potential year‑on‑year increases based on performance.
