HVN Labs is a UK-based drone technology company developing next-generation AI-powered drone swarm systems for live entertainment and commercial applications. With the global drone entertainment market projected to reach $3 billion by 2030, we are expanding our Drone Shows franchise across the United Kingdom.
We are seeking an entrepreneurial Managing Director to launch and scale the HVN Drone Shows business within an exclusive UK territory. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the region, drive commercial growth, build a local team, and develop strategic partnerships, leveraging HVN’s proprietary drone technology, software, and content libraries. Opportunities also exist for relocation to the UK, as HVN Labs is a Scale Up Sponsor.
TheOpportunity
As Managing Director, you will oversee all aspects of the franchise, including operations, sales, and market development. You will be responsible for securing funding to launch the business, either through commercial contracts, investor partnerships, or other financing solutions. You will lead the growth of the business by establishing strong relationships within the events, entertainment, and corporate sectors, and by identifying opportunities across stadiums, festivals, theme parks, tourist attractions, and private events.
HVN Labs provides a fully supported “drone-show-in-a-box” solution, including the drone fleet, pre-configured software, proprietary show designs, live control platforms, pre-formatted animations, technical support, and centralised safety and insurance management. You will benefit from ongoing R&D, annual refresher training, and access to new products and technology as they are developed. This franchise offers exclusive territory rights and an uncapped profit potential, with breakeven projected in the first year and six-figure earnings potential in year two.
ResponsibilitiesYou will define and execute the vision and strategy for your territory, building and leading a high-performing operations and sales team. Your role will involve securing launch funding, managing budgets and financial performance, and driving business growth through customer acquisition and strategic partnerships. You will represent HVN Labs at industry events, conferences, and networking forums, while monitoring market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions.
Collaboration with the central team will be essential to prioritise product development and ensure the franchise benefits from the latest technology and content updates.
The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial business leader with a proven track record of launching and growing businesses. You should have strong local market knowledge, an established network of contacts, and the ability to finance and scale a new venture. Experience in fundraising, franchise operations, or tech-enabled entertainment is highly desirable, though not essential. You should demonstrate leadership skills, strategic thinking, financial acumen, and a passion for innovation.
Candidates may come from event management, hospitality, technology, media, or corporate sectors, or may be investors seeking high-growth opportunities.
Candidates should have at least five years of senior leadership experience, preferably in a startup or entrepreneurial environment. Excellent communication, negotiation, and team management skills are essential. You should have the ability to make data-driven decisions, build relationships with investors, partners, and stakeholders, and operate independently while leveraging central support. A strong interest in technology-driven entertainment and high-growth industries is expected.
CompensationThe role offers a base salary of £42,000 – £120,000, with uncapped profit share and significant six-figure earning potential. Long-term franchise equity opportunities may also be available.
Application QuestionsApplicants are asked to explain how they would raise £250,000 to launch a new franchise and describe any relevant experience in fundraising, franchise operations, or the drone industry.
