Position Overview
Crux Product Design is a forward-thinking and fast-growing consultancy, and we’re on the lookout for a driven and dynamic Business Development Manager. In this newly created role, you'll play a pivotal part in Crux’s ongoing growth, focusing on the strategic development of vertical markets. You’ll lead the charge in securing new business with global clients, positioning Crux as a trusted partner in complex, technical development programs.
With a sharp understanding of consultative sales, you'll help translate client needs into exciting commercial opportunities. Our clients span the globe, working at the forefront of innovation in R&D and each project brings a new challenge. We're looking for someone energetic and motivated, ready to bring passion and precision to a role that sits at the intersection of business and innovation.
PrincipalResponsibilities
- Identify, develop and drive new business growth by developing Crux's presence in vertical market sectors, particularly Diagnostics and Surgical
- Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, supported by Client Development Execs and marketing teams.
- Participate in detailed technical discussions, understand customer needs and effectively communicate Crux's capabilities in addressing key challenges
- Collaborate with company leadership to refine sales strategies and forecast revenue growth
- Represent Crux at industry events, conferences, and symposia to expand market presence
- Maintain accurate sales activity records in the company’s CRM (Hub Spot)
- Develop and execute go-to-market plans that delivers measurable growth
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (technical, marketing, outreach) to align client needs with our capabilities
- Drive market intelligence and competitor analysis to inform strategy and positioning
- Build and nurture strategic relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and decision-makers
- Demonstrable experience in business development, sales & strategic client relationship management.
- Experience of selling complex solutions rather than volume products.
- Proven track record of successfully closing deals and driving revenue growth.
- Experience negotiating and building relationships with key stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Specialism in the Surgical or Diagnostics vertical markets.
- Experience in a consultancy environment.
- Experience in the medical, pharma or health industries.
