As an integral part of PwC’s Supply Chain and Procurement team, you will focus on Defence Supply Chains, Procurement, Cost Reduction, Operations Improvement, and Digital Transformation. Your work will not only enhance efficiency and reduce costs but also support our clients’ digital innovation and procurement transformation journeys to make a tangible impact.

The role is based in one of the following UK locations:
London, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, or Edinburgh.

• Deliver procurement transformation projects, including the design and implementation of procurement strategy, operating models, processes, systems, and tools.
• Develop and successfully execute category strategies for indirect and direct categories across the end‑to‑end procurement lifecycle, covering category planning, opportunity assessment, negotiation, supplier management, and contract management.
• Conduct thorough cost analyses to identify cost‑saving opportunities and efficiencies within the supply chain.
• Develop and implement cost management strategies that align with client objectives and industry best practices.
• Analyse current operational practices and identify areas for improvement to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
• Lead change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes and technologies.
• Guide clients through digital transformation, from strategy development to implementation, identifying opportunities in automation, data analytics, and advanced technologies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and leading project teams.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior consultants, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing team environment.

• You have experience in defence, with a focus on supply chain, procurement, cost reduction, manufacturing, operations improvement, and digital transformation.
• Proven track record of delivering successful projects in a consulting or industry role.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to develop data‑driven insights and recommendations.
• Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of delivering significant cost savings across the end‑to‑end value chain.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in relevant tools and technologies, such as ERP systems, data analytics software, and source‑to‑pay solutions.
• Ability to travel as required to meet and work on client locations throughout the UK.
