Position: Work Experience Coordinator & Administrator (20 hours a week)

Overview

As our Work Experience Coordinator & Administrator, you will coordinate the full work experience process, including sourcing placements, conducting site visits, completing risk assessments, and ensuring safeguarding and health & safety compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employers to provide a wide range of high-quality placement opportunities.
  • Support and host employer engagement events such as careers fairs, curriculum‑specific sessions, and networking opportunities.
  • Work closely with curriculum teams to embed employer‑led activities that support student progression and meet Gatsby Benchmarks 5 and 6.
  • Track placement activity, gather feedback from students and employers, and maintain accurate records including data for Compass+.
  • Support the wider Careers and Progression team with day‑to‑day administration and careers‑related events.
  • Promote equality, diversity and inclusion across all employer engagement activities.

This position is 20 hours per week, worked during term time only, as part of a friendly and professional team that values collaboration, reflection, and the sharing of ideas.

You will bring strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a busy and varied environment. With excellent communication skills, you will enjoy building relationships with a wide range of people, including employers, staff, students, and parents/carers.

We are looking for someone who is proactive, confident, and passionate about supporting young people to explore career pathways and gain valuable experience. You will have an eye for detail, a commitment to safeguarding, and the confidence to represent the College professionally when hosting events or conducting employer visits.

Your ability to work collaboratively, act with diplomacy and sensitivity, and provide a welcoming and supportive experience for all stakeholders will be key to your success in this role.
