Assistant Accountant – Full-Time, Permanent | Vertu Hyundai Bristol

Salary: £28,000 + excellent company benefits

Location: Vertu Hyundai Bristol

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our growing team in Vertu Hyundai Bristol. This is a fantastic role for someone looking to take the next step in their accounting career and play a key part in supporting our management team with accurate financial information and insights.

As our Assistant Accountant, you’ll work closely with the Accountant on the preparation of spreadsheets, reports and financial data to support informed business decision‑making. Alongside day‑to‑day accounting duties, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing forecasts and estimates
• Assisting with the production of management accounts
• Completing payroll duties
• Performing balance sheet reconciliations
• Managing accruals and prepayments
• Supporting cash flow reporting
• Reconciling manufacturer bonuses
• Credit Control tasks

We’re looking for a proactive and detail‑driven Assistant Accountant who is ready for the next stage of their career. You’ll bring strong accounting knowledge, excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise with both financial and non-financial colleagues.

• Proven experience as an Assistant Accountant
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy
• Well‑organised with strong time‑management skills
• Motor Trade experience and/or Kerridge experience ideal (not essential)
