Management Accountant

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join a busy accountancy practice in Newport, Telford. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong practice background to take ownership of accounts and management reporting for a diverse portfolio of clients. Hybrid working is available once the qualifying period has been completed.

• Preparation of management accounts and financial statements for a variety of clients
• General accounting duties, including reconciliations, journal entries, and month‑end procedures
• Supporting statutory accounts and tax compliance work
• Preparing management information and reports to help clients make informed business decisions
• Liaising directly with clients and providing support and advice as required
• Contributing to practice processes and helping maintain high standards of client service

• Minimum of 3 years experience in an accountancy practice (ideally 5+)
• Strong experience with general accounts and management accounts preparation
• Knowledge of tax compliance (personal, corporate, VAT) is highly desirable
• Excellent communication and client management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines

• ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accountancy qualification
