Overview
Audit Assistant - Placement - Bristol - September 2026. Join our audit team on a 12-month paid placement as part of your sandwich degree course and gain hands-on experience. The placement allows you to work alongside current trainees and experienced team members with on-the-job training and access to internal training courses. If you perform well, there may be an opportunity to join one of our graduate training programmes.
As a member of our audit team, you will conduct a thorough, risk-focused review of a range of client financial records, processes, and controls. You will help ensure the accuracy of financial statements while building trust with stakeholders.
You will be expected to engage in client work from day one, initially as part of a larger team before taking on individual project responsibility.
Responsibilities- Becoming a key member of the team from day one, engaging in client work quickly, initially within a larger team and then taking on individual project responsibilities.
- Working with a diverse range of clients, from owner-managed businesses to large listed groups, charities, pension schemes and other not-for-profit organisations.
- A minimum of 112 UCAS points across 3 A Levels or an equivalent qualification, or 104 UCAS points across 4 Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers or Irish Leaving Certificate (Higher Level).
- Be enrolled on a placement degree.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey information clearly for collaboration with team members and clients.
- Ability to analyse and interpret data to solve problems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain working relationships and remain calm under pressure.
- Genuine interest in business and commerce with a commercial outlook and strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Willingness to travel to client sites and other offices as required.

The start date for this role is 22 September 2026. Start dates are mandatory due to internal and professional training.
