The Role

As an Associate Manager in our Audit team, you’ll be instrumental in delivering exceptional audit services to a varied and impactful portfolio. Based in our Bristol office, you’ll lead audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring high‑quality delivery and a seamless client experience. You’ll work closely with managers and partners, supporting the wider team and playing a key role in developing junior colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Audit Engagements:
    Take ownership of audits from initial planning to final sign‑off, ensuring technical excellence and compliance throughout.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    Build trusted relationships with clients, gaining a strong understanding of their operations and offering proactive, value‑added insight.
  • Team

    Collaboration:

    Liaise closely with managers, partners, and colleagues across the firm to deliver a joined‑up service and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Review & Supervision:
    Review the work of junior team members, providing constructive feedback and on‑the‑job coaching to support their development.
  • Technical Delivery:
    Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of auditing standards, regulations, and developments within the charity and not‑for‑profit sector.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
  • Qualified Auditor: ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with a strong audit background gained within a UK accountancy practice, whether Top 10, mid‑tier or independent.
  • Confident Communicator:
    Comfortable engaging with clients and internal teams, able to explain technical matters clearly and professionally.
  • Detail‑Oriented & Organised:
    Thrive in a fast‑paced environment, managing deadlines with confidence and consistently delivering high‑quality work.
