Pharmaceutical Trade Sales Representative you will develop and manage relationships with assigned accounts while promoting a portfolio of pharmaceutical products. You will work closely with purchasing teams and internal partners to drive product adoption, expand existing accounts, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. This role also focuses on analyzing market trends, supporting customers with accurate product information, and maintaining full compliance with regulatory and company guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Act as the main point of contact for assigned accounts, building and maintaining productive relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Develop and sustain professional partnerships with purchasing teams across food, drug, and wholesale channels to support ongoing business growth.
  • Represent the organization at industry trade shows, conferences, and pharmaceutical meetings to strengthen relationships and promote product offerings.
  • Manage and grow the existing portfolio of customers by ensuring consistent engagement and satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities within current accounts to expand product utilization and increase overall adoption.
  • Implement strategic upselling and cross‑selling initiatives to broaden the use of the company’s pharmaceutical products.
  • Provide clients with clear and accurate information regarding product features, benefits, and relevant clinical data.
  • Ensure all sales activities and customer interactions adhere to FDA, HIPAA, and internal compliance standards.
  • Address customer inquiries promptly and resolve concerns related to product availability, pricing, or delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate with internal customer service leadership and support teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional departments to maintain efficient communication and timely service for client accounts.
  • Monitor account performance and compile regular sales activity and performance reports.
  • Review prescribing patterns, market trends, and customer insights to anticipate demand and guide sales strategies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present information and build rapport with stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to negotiate effectively and cultivate long‑term professional relationships with clients and partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams as well as external customers and partners.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and accounts.
  • Customer‑focused approach with the ability to respond promptly and professionally to inquiries and support requests.
  • Experience reviewing sales performance metrics, account trends, and market insights to support business growth.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical therapeutic areas and applicable regulatory guidelines governing drug sales and distribution.
  • Established or prior relationships with purchasing teams within food, drug, wholesale, or independent pharmacy channels is preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% for trade shows, conferences, and industry‑related events.
