At Avenues Home Care of Tennessee, our caregivers are our front line and most common representative. As a Patient Care Aide - PCA, you will be caring for the elderly, vulnerable, disabled and most often those that cannot care for themselves. You are required to keep the client’s needs above all else and perform the following duties with the utmost care.

Our office in Johnson City provides caregivers for the Northeast Tennessee area including Bristol, Johnson City, Bluff City, Blountville, Piney Flats, Sturgeon, Oak Grove, and many others.

We take the time to match our clients with the right caregiver through our Care Match program. This program allows us to assess and understand our clients’ needs so that we can provide the best care possible. Our caregivers are trained in the Avenues Home Care Way to ensure they meet our high standards of service.

We take great care in matching the right caregiver to the right client. By using behavioral assessment tools, we gain insight into our caregivers and match that to the needs and desires of our clients.

• Assist the client with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as specified in the client’s plan of care created during in-take. Those activities may include but are not limited to: bathing, dressing, grooming, other personal hygiene, toileting, transferring, eating and continence care.
• Assist with medication assistance, housekeeping services, laundry, meal preparation, feeding, shopping, transportation to and from appointments and companionship.
• Other household tasks as specified in the client’s plan of care
• To report daily activity to your supervisor through the agency management system and daily activity logs. Other communication avenues when available and as needed, including but not limited to phone calls, emails, agency app, face to face, etc.
