Tax Preparer

We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in Bristol, Tennessee during the 2026 tax season only. This role focuses on preparing and reviewing multi-state personal tax returns, offering an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic setting. Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review multi-state personal tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.

- Utilize Ultra Tax software to efficiently complete and file tax documentation.

- Provide clients with strategic tax planning advice tailored to multi-state requirements.

- Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations impacting personal income tax.

- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver timely and high-quality service.

- Address client inquiries and concerns related to multi-state tax issues.

- Ensure all tax documents are prepared and submitted within established deadlines.

- Conduct thorough reviews of tax filings to identify and resolve discrepancies.

Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation, specifically focusing on individual tax returns.

- Advanced knowledge of preparing multi-state personal tax returns.

- Proficiency in Ultra Tax software for tax preparation.

- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.

- Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance standards.

- Organizational skills to ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping.
