Manufacturing Engineer

Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer will provide technical support and lead continuous improvement initiatives for CNC machining operations. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, optimal machine utilization, and adherence to quality standards. The engineer will collaborate closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues, implement process improvements, and support new product introductions.

• Recommend and document changes to improve quality, throughput, and safety; train operators; and communicate updates to management.
• Support tracking and achieving OEE goals, drive World Class Manufacturing (WCM) program savings, and manage capital projects - either scoped by management or initiated independently.
• Demonstrate a customer-centric mindset and a strong commitment to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards; possess technical expertise to drive projects to completion.

• Identifies customer needs with respect to cost, quality, and efficiency.
• Provides leadership within areas of responsibility and mentors others at the site (engineers, technicians).

• Analyzes processes using data, drills down to relevant root causes, and implements effective corrective actions.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field is required
• Master’s Degree (Technical Degree) or equivalent is preferred
• 3-5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering is required, or 3+ years with a Master’s degree
• Lean Manufacturing Processes; 5S, Kaizen, etc., preferred
• Understanding of and responsiveness to customer needs; proactive with a sense of urgency
• Solution-focused with leadership ability to drive projects to completion
• Ability to engage appropriate personnel for effective implementation
• Thorough knowledge of engineering principles and applications
• Proficiency in CNC machining (mill & lathe), tooling design, programming, Solid Works, and AutoCAD
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, AS 9100, and ISO 14001 and their practical application preferred
• Problem-solving, project scoping, and project management skills

Saint-Gobain provides a comprehensive Total Rewards package. The pay range is provided where required by location and may vary by region, knowledge, skills, and experience. Eligible for an annual bonus; target bonus is 10% of base salary. Total Target Cash range: $89,600 to $139,100. Benefits include health, retirement, paid time off, parental leave, life insurance, disability coverage, and voluntary programs. Specific benefits vary by location.
