Operations Supervisor

DATTCO is currently searching for an Operations Supervisor for our school bus team in Bristol, CT. The Operations Supervisor is a key role that coordinates and directs the daily activity of the terminal and is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of all drivers and vehicles.

• Responsible for scheduling drivers and effectively dispatching fixed route service and charters
• Assist drivers with directions and customer itineraries
• Answer routine phone calls from the Board of Education, drivers and parents
• Clerical, filing and reporting duties
• Responsible for driver’s weekly payroll
• Interview driver candidates for employment
• Discipline drivers when necessary
• Routing

• Commercial driver's license (CDL) with P and S endorsements
• At least one-year transportation experience preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Work well in a fast-paced environment
• Be flexible and a self-starter
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Team player
• Good customer and employee relations skills
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and computerized routing software
