Lake Compounce - Seasonal Park Operations Senior Supervisor

Lake Compounce, 822 Lake Ave, Bristol, CT 06010, United States of America The Park Operations Senior Supervisor will assist in the supervision of the Rides and Park Services hosts working throughout the amusement park. This position directly supports park leadership with efficient operation of the departments, which provides positive guest experience.
** Supervisory Duties:
** Lead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Lake Compounce’s core values performing the essential duties of all
** Departmental Duties:*
* * Listen to guest feedback and complaints, communicating them to the respective department managers
* Provide coverage for host breaks and monitor communication channels for additional assistance
* Provide direct support to hosts by conducting rounds throughout the park to address their needs
* Enforce Park policies, restrictions, and recommendations to ensure guest safety
* Remain calm and composed during emergency situations, exuding professionalism while adhering to all standard operating procedures
* Maintain constant vigilance to proactively identify potential hazards and informs park leadership of any concerns
* Protect guest belongings, handle lost and found items, and cooperate with other departments to enhance the guest experience
* Promptly notify security or park operators of any injuries or emergencies
* Conduct audits of hosts to ensure safe operations and fulfill additional duties as assigned
* Ensure that the daily cleaning/nightly cleaning protocols are being completed according to Park standards
* Audit restrooms, eating areas, and overall park cleanliness
* Perform whatever duties are necessary to ensure park cleanliness
* Proactively monitor the Park for safety hazards (e.g. wet floors, tripping hazards, etc.)
* Maintain records of all work completed and safety inspections
* Maintain high standards of performance for all assigned areas of responsibility
* Ensure compliance with all OSHA, DEP, ADA, and other applicable standards and state/local regulations
* Ensure that all team members have necessary supplies to successfully perform duties
* Address any escalated guest concerns and criticisms with a high degree of professionalism and propose solutions to deescalate the situation
* Courteously resolve guest questions and concerns, and assist with lost children
* Ensure employees have necessary supplies to perform duties
* All other duties assigned by leadership

Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of park attractions and safety procedures, assisting or operating rides and maintaining a safe environment

* Education and Experience:

** No education requirements for this position2-3 years of previous work experience in the Rides or Park Services departments is required. Previous ride operation experience from other Amusement/Theme Park employers will also be considered2+ years of previous supervisory experience preferred
** Language:
** Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English;
Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.
** Requirements:
** Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, open to close

Ability to comply with all uniform policies

Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner

Ability to inspire, motivate, and successfully lead a large number of hosts

Ability to handle high-pressure situations, meet the demands of constant deadlines and coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a fast-paced team

* * Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday
* Ability to remain sedentary for periods of time, while using a computer
* Ability to frequently stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders
* Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 30 pounds or more
* Ability to climb or descend stairs for some of the rides and attractions

This role will predominantly be based outdoors in the park environment
