A respected and quality-driven residential developer with a strong reputation across the South West. They deliver well-designed, mid-volume housing schemes — typically 3, 4 and 5-bed homes with occasional apartment blocks, blending private sale with some affordable housing. Known for stability, repeat work and a supportive culture, they continue to secure a healthy pipeline across the region.

This Senior Quantity Surveyor position sits within an established regional commercial team, supporting new build residential developments across the wider Bristol area. Reporting to a Commercial Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day commercial management of a live project while balancing your time between the office and local sites. The role offers autonomy, trust and the ability to manage your own diary.

• To ensure optimum commercial return is achieved on your project
• Prepare accurate cost/value reconciliation reports
• Prepare and agree interim valuations to secure the best commercial position for the business
• Agree subcontractor final accounts to maximise project margins
• Prepare subcontract orders in line with procedures, procurement schedules and programme requirements
• Maintain full control of subcontractor accounts, variations and commercial correspondence
• Manage subcontracts professionally, ensuring clarity, accuracy and timely communication
• Carry out all quantity surveying duties as required across your project
• Prepare or support monthly cost/value reports, forecasting the final financial position accurately
• Prepare project turnover and cash flow forecasts and update them as required

• Experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor or strong Quantity Surveyor ready to step up
• Background with a major or regional house builder, or a residential-focused main contractor
• Proven track record of delivering new build residential schemes within budget and programme
• Experience mentoring junior surveyors is beneficial but not essential
• Practical, commercially aware and able to spot better ways of doing things
• A collaborative team player who wants to contribute to a growing regional business
• Comfortably commutable to the North Bristol area
