A well-established civil engineering contractor is looking for a skilled Buyer to join their procurement team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who can support multiple projects, source efficiently, and maintain strong supplier partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day procurement activities, including sourcing materials, services, and subcontractors.

Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.

Support project teams to understand requirements and provide procurement solutions aligned with schedules.

Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company procedures.

Assist with tendering, supplier evaluations, and cost-control initiatives.

Requirements:

Proven experience in a procurement or buying role, ideally within construction or civil engineering.

Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.

Knowledge of procurement processes and purchasing procedures.

Good organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with procurement software is a plus.
