Position Description

Job Overview:

The primary function of the Petroleum Service Technician is to service existing fuel dispensers, POS systems and underground submersible systems. This is a full-time position reporting to the Petroleum Compliance and Service Manager.

Job Duties:

* Troubleshoot and repair petroleum dispensing systems.

* Provide technical support in the field.

* Communicate with customers and provide good customer service.

* Perform repairs and software upgrades on existing POS systems.

* Perform service calls on an after-hours basis.

* Understand and comply with all State and Federal regulations.

* Ensure proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.

* Read and interpret safety/employment manuals and other work-related documents.

* Work extended hours outdoors in varying weather conditions.

* Follow written and verbal instructions.

* Available to be on-call 24/7 if applicable.

* Able to lift 80 pounds of necessary equipment; able to push and pull 75 pounds. Able to climb a ladder.

* Operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

* Regular and reliable attendance and presence at work.

* Demonstrate professionalism, be courteous and always be friendly to customers and co-workers.

* Regular interaction with peers on-site, including face-to-face meetings and spontaneous meetings.

* Follow company quality, safety, and environmental guidelines as well as Employee Handbook policies.

* Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications / Experience /

Education:

* Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience with petroleum storage, service, and distribution systems.

* Communicate well through emails, over the phone, or face-to-face.

* Good interpersonal skills.

* Attention to detail including follow up and follow through.

* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

* Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and 7-year criminal background check.
