A Maintenance & Setup Associate supports daily production by setting up, adjusting, and maintaining equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality operations. This role performs machine changeovers, makes equipment adjustments to meet product specifications, troubleshoots issues during production, and supports preventive maintenance activities. Success in this role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, flexibility, and a strong commitment to safety and quality in a fast‑paced environment.
- Pay: $22 per hour
- Schedule:
Full-Time | Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (3‑day weekends!) - Overtime:
Occasional
- Support operational excellence through participation in ESP and continuous improvement activities.
- Follow standard work procedures and job expectations under supervision.
- Accept coaching and develop skills through training and on‑the‑job learning.
- Support problem‑solving activities through engagement and feedback.
- Operate equipment under supervision while fulfilling all safety and job expectations related to material handling equipment (MHE).
- Demonstrate awareness of basic equipment and repair principles, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and drive systems.
- Understand machine operation requirements to avoid negative impact on production or equipment.
- Execute equipment operations as trained and follow defined reaction plans to prevent personal injury or product damage.
- Learn how operational activities contribute to data, technology, and overall organizational performance.
- Understand individual performance expectations and how they relate to departmental deliverables.
- Support department objectives that drive capacity, volume, and customer requirements.
- Work collaboratively with peers to ensure compliance and identify potential risks.
- Follow all environmental, health, and safety requirements and support the prevention and identification of potential hazards.
- Understand how daily work contributes to risk reduction and minimizes impact on surrounding operations and environments.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year of functional or operational experience preferred.
- Willingness to learn and grow under supervision in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to follow instructions, standard work, and safety procedures.
- Basic awareness or interest in equipment operation and maintenance concepts.
- Strong attention to safety, quality, and teamwork.
- Positive attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement and development.
