Job Description
Brighton Ford is seeking a motivated Express Service Techician to join our service department. In this role, you'll perform essential maintenance services and vehicle inspections while supporting the efficiency and performance of our shop. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who's looking to develop their technical skills and build a long-term career in the automotive industry.
Job Type & Schedule
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday with rotating Saturdays
Pay: Competitive hourly rate based on experience and certifications
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid top-offs, and filter replacements
- Conduct multi-point vehicle inspections to identify service needs
- Assist senior technicians with basic mechanical repairs and diagnostics
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all safety protocols
- Accurately document work performed using dealership systems
- Ensure vehicles are clean and customer-ready upon completion
- Communicate with service advisors about vehicle status and service recommendations
- Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition and report any issues
- Ford certification is a plus
- Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus
- Basic understanding of automotive systems and maintenance procedures
- Effective communication and analytical skills
- Strong reading, math, and computer skills
- Ability to learn new technologies and OEM repair procedures
- Comfortable using electronic tools
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or degree preferred
- ASE certifications is a plus
- Dependable and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Positive, friendly, and team-oriented attitude
