Warehouse Team Member I
General
Purpose:
Oversees activities in the Central Warehouse related to shipping, receiving, storing, supplies and dispatch of materials to ensure effective and efficient operations and material transportation.
Warehouse Team Member I is highly knowledgeable in receiving, shipping, warehousing, and inventory operations. They are responsible for physically and systematically processing inventory and accurately supporting internal customers.
Responsibilities- Depending on the assigned department, employee may be required to perform tasks in the shipping, receiving, inventory, small or large tools operations.
- Responsible for adhering to all processes with little to no supervision.
- Communicate to leadership and internal stakeholders when deviation of the standard process occurs and propose solution to correct the process.
- Safely load, transfer, and unload palletized and non-palletized materials using assigned equipment.
- Perform basic transactions in SAP as well as troubleshoot and resolve common errors in SAP to maintain accurate and timely inventory data.
- We will internally certify you to inspect rigging materials.
- Guide and coach peers and new hires on standard processes within assigned work area.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to climb stairs or ladders and work off of step stools and ladders.
- Weight restriction:
Able to lift, push, pull or carry a minimum of 50 lbs. - Ability to frequently walk, stand, look up/down, balance, stoop, twist, kneel, and bend.
- Ability to constantly grip and manually manipulate items such as hand tools and turbine parts, often with repetitive motion.
- Must be able to see and hear alarms, timers and follow verbal instructions; color differentiation may be required.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment, consistently demonstrating Vestas Core Values.
- Support and participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts.
- Able to safely operate all equipment according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
- Regular and reliable attendance in adherence to the outline attendance policy.
- Set a good example of personal integrity.
- Ability to learn and interpret the instructions and translate that into work.
- Ability to work both individually and as a member of a team.
- 1 year of experience in a general warehouse, distribution centre, or production environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Working knowledge of stock control, inventory management practices and procedures preferred.
- Experience operating a forklift and reach truck preferred.
- Experience working within SAP preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions with precise execution.
- Ability to read, interpret and understand basic drawings & schematics a plus.
- Ability to read, interpret process documents.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Beginning level understanding of Microsoft Office preferred.

TermsOccasionally = 1‑33% of time or 1‑100 repetitions/day
Frequently = 34‑66% of time or up to 500 repetitions/day

Monday to Friday 7:00 to 3:30 p.m.
Salary Range$21.32 – $23.67 per hour.
