Position: Recording Technician Temp - 165070

Overview

The Clerk and Recorder’s Office exists to support and educate our community through prioritizing trust, inclusion, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

The Recording Department is looking for a dedicated, positive candidate with an enthusiasm for customer service and thrives on being part of an incredible team. The Recording Team likes to have fun while maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and efficiency in recording public records. The ideal candidate will be dependable and contribute positively to team dynamics.

Responsibilities
  • Receives direct supervision from Deputy Director of Recording, and/or Recording Lead Tech.
  • Assists the public in person and over the phone with recording documents, marriage licenses, and general questions.
  • Proficiency in cash management, ensuring correct fees are collected per statutory requirements.
  • Accuracy in data entry and attention to detail is a must.
  • Interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with a team and the public.
  • Committed to the priorities of the Office of the Clerk & Recorder.
  • Assists in other areas of the Clerk and Recorder's office as needed.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Adaptable to rapidly changing priorities based on workload.

  • Ability to provide excellent customer service calmly and professionally in person and on the telephone.
  • Ability to learn Colorado real property statutes.
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed.
  • Establish and maintain positive and harmonious working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
  • Ability to exercise attention to detail in performing assigned tasks.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English is strongly preferred.
Experience
  • One (1) year of job experience that includes cashiering, general office work, and customer service.
  • Data entry experience
  • Knowledge of real property statutes, forms and documents are preferred but not required.
Education & Training

Must be able to read and write at a high school level.

License Or Certificate

Requires a valid Driver’s License at the time of application.

Background Check

Must pass a criminal background check.
