Master Technician / Senior Vehicle Technician
Location:
Brighton
Salary: £42,000 – £45,000 basic, up to £55,000 OTE
Hours:
Monday – Friday
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Master Technician to join our busy and progressive workshop. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced technician who takes pride in delivering top-quality work and enjoys working with a team of professionals. You will play a key role in maintaining our reputation for exceptional service, leading by example, and driving workshop performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults across a wide range of vehicles.
Conduct routine servicing, inspections, and maintenance to manufacturer standards.
Perform MOT inspections if qualified, ensuring vehicles meet legal requirements.
Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation.
Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to junior technicians.
Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies, including hybrid and electric systems.
Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Deliver excellent customer service by explaining repairs and technical issues clearly to customers.
Required Skills &
Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
Proven experience as a Master or Senior Technician.
Exceptional diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
In-depth knowledge of modern vehicle systems, including hybrid/electric vehicles.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
Strong communication and team working skills.
Desirable:
Manufacturer-specific certifications or experience with premium brands.
MOT Tester qualification.
Experience mentoring junior technicians or supporting workshop management.
