Live-In Personal Care Assistant – Skook Management Consulting
We are looking for a dedicated Live-In Personal Care Assistant to support a young female student with Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy. This role offers training, a supportive environment, and opportunities to develop professional skills.

Sussex (Term Time) / Surbiton (Holidays) - Shift Pattern: 7 days on / 7 days off (live-in)
- Pay: £200 per day / £1,400 per week worked
- Accommodation:
Free while on shift
The client has Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy, relies on a powered wheelchair, and requires assistance with daily tasks such as personal care, dressing, cooking, cleaning, and general support.
Personality & Interests- Independent and social – enjoys university life and events.
- Dedicated – represents GB in Boccia; trains regularly.
- Determined – balances studies, sport, health, and social life.
- Interests include music, travel, TV/Film, reading, puzzles.
You will provide support for the client’s personal health care, therapy, sporting, and social activities. You will help the client retain independence while ensuring comfort and safety.
About You- Open to ongoing feedback and instruction.
- Willing to undertake specific training for therapy support.
- Has hobbies/interests to pursue during on-call periods.
- Highly organized and excellent time‑management skills.
- Comfortable with manual handling and possible physical exertion.
- Respectful of confidentiality and privacy.
- Valid UK Driving Licence (Essential)
- Fluent English communication – verbal and written (Essential)
- Own transport or access to public transport to Falmer, Sussex, Surbiton, Kingston‑upon‑Thames
- Physically fit for manual handling and therapy delivery
- Domestic skills: cooking, light cleaning, laundry, and ironing as directed
- Non-smoker (due to client’s respiratory weakness)
