Basic Job FunctionsThe responsibilities of the Galvanizing Lead include but are not limited to: being a positive member of the leadership team at NTSUT and being an active participant in the development of teammates within our culture. Safety is an important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead and uphold safety practices, policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards to make safety a priority at all times.
In this position the Lead will monitor and ensure proper flow of product throughout the galvanizing department, as well as overseeing and training the line. This position is also responsible for communicating information to other departments and teammates as it relates to galvanizing production. The Lead is responsible for establishing and setting the production pace, maintaining efficiency and ensuring quality of galvanized steel.
Additional responsibilities will include filling in for other positions in the galvanizing department, and for the Supervisor, as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED
- Competent with Microsoft Office software programs.
- Minimum 6 months’ experience in steel manufacturing
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including scheduled and unscheduled overtime, rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends.
