The Role

Managing a complex caseload involving children, adolescents, and families

Completing assessments, care planning, and statutory safeguarding interventions

Undertaking child protection and court-related work where required

Providing professional guidance, oversight, and support to junior social workers

Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to achieve the best outcomes

Ensuring all work meets statutory duties, safeguarding standards, and local authority policies

Maintaining accurate, timely, and high-quality case recordings

What You'll Need

Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England

Significant post-qualified experience within Children's Services

Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection legislation, and statutory frameworks

Ability to work autonomously and make sound professional decisions

Excellent communication, analytical, and report-writing skills

Confident, resilient, and child-centred approach to practice
