Job Description The Job Mission

This is a hybrid role, open to those within commutable distance of Bridgwater or willing to relocate with support from a small relocation allowance.

As a Senior Configuration Engineer (Plant Integration), you’ll ensure engineering designs and project baselines are correctly replicated, adapted, and controlled for a new large-scale power project. Working with international teams, you will help deliver robust processes that guarantee design accuracy and alignment with project requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain project-wide configuration procedures and standards
  • Create “control site configuration” processes ensuring project-wide consistency
  • Oversee replication of existing design into the new project’s requirements
  • Support the Configuration Manager in setting up and guiding the project team
  • Produce procedures for managing design changes and field requests
  • Deliver training and create supporting materials for project teams
  • Define and track KPIs to monitor process efficiency and compliance
  • Produce configuration reports, audits, and process self-assessments
  • Collaborate with UK and international stakeholders to resolve integration issues

    Act as the reference point for configuration and replication management
Essential

Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or related Engineering discipline
  • Proven configuration management or technical integration experience
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Ability to deliver against commitments and deadlines
  • Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem‑solving
Desired Skills
  • Experience on major industrial or infrastructure projects (energy, oil & gas, steel, etc.)
  • Knowledge of configuration management in a highly regulated environment
  • Familiarity with large engineering design and construction processes
  • Experience developing KPIs and reporting methods
  • Ability to create training materials and deliver technical sessions
