Ground worker - Diggers and excavators

We are seeking an experinced grounds operative to support operational works within a cemetery environment. This role requires regular and competent use of plant machinery and commercial grounds maintenance equipment and is not suitable for candidates without proven experience.

The work is physically demanding, undertaken outdoors in all weather conditions, and involves working in sensitive and empathetic situations.

• Full UK driving licence
• Proven experience operating plant machinery, including:
• Dumper trucks
• Diggers / excavators
• Commercial-level experience in grass cutting and strimming, using professional grounds maintenance equipment
• Background in groundworks and heavy manual labour
• Ability to work safely and confidently with machinery in live public environments
• Understanding of health & safety requirements relating to plant, machinery, and grounds maintenance equipment
• Physically fit and able to undertake demanding manual tasks

• Professional, respectful, and empathetic approach at all times
• Comfortable working in emotionally sensitive situations
• Reliable, flexible, and able to follow instructions

This is a temporary to permanent role for the righ candidate.

Salary is negotiable.
